Overview

AGnVET is a long-running agricultural retailer and rural services provider across regional Australia, supplying everything from crop protection chemicals and fertiliser to animal health products, fencing, and water equipment, alongside services like agronomy advice, insurance, and real estate. With branches spread across multiple regions and a product range spanning a dozen-plus categories, the site needed structure more than decoration: a way to organize a large catalog and a branch network without it turning into a maze. This was a redesign and redevelopment, no hosting migration this time, built in WordPress with Elementor, JetEngine, and Gravity Forms. I led the project and handled the redesign and most of the redevelopment myself, and brought in a contractor to build the branch locator and migrate the existing blog posts.

The Challenge

AGnVET’s catalog and service list is large and genuinely varied, agricultural chemicals, fertiliser, fencing, seed, and animal health with its own sub-categories, water equipment with its own sub-categories, plus services like agronomy, insurance, and real estate. On top of that, the business runs through a network of branches across regional Australia, and enquiries needed to reach the right one.

• Redesign and rebuild the site in WordPress with Elementor
• Structure a large, multi-level product and service catalog so it’s easy to browse, not just easy to list
• Build a branch locator so customers can find and contact their nearest AGnVET location
• Set up a contact form that routes enquiries by type, area, and branch, not just a general inbox
• Keep News & Promotions easy for the AGnVET team to publish without developer help

The Solution

01. Redesigned and rebuilt in Elementor

Redesigned the site end to end and rebuilt it in WordPress with Elementor, organizing the navigation around how customers actually think about the business: products, services, and locations, not just a flat page list.

02. JetEngine for the catalog

Used JetEngine to build the product and service categories and sub-categories as structured, filterable content, instead of hand-built pages for every category.

03. Gravity Forms for enquiry routing

Set up the contact form in Gravity Forms with fields for enquiry type, area of enquiry, and branch, so a submission carries enough detail to route to the right team without back-and-forth.

04. Brought in a contractor for the rest

Led the project and handled the redesign and most of the redevelopment myself, and brought in a contractor to build the branch locator and migrate the existing blog posts, so the parts outside my main focus still got the right attention.

The Results

A catalog that scales without becoming a maze

A dozen-plus product and service categories, several with their own sub-categories, are organized through JetEngine’s structured content instead of one-off pages, so adding or reorganizing a category doesn’t mean rebuilding the site around it.

One form, routed to the right place

The Gravity Forms enquiry form captures enquiry type, area of enquiry, and branch in a single submission, so a message about fencing at one branch doesn’t land with the wrong team.

A branch network that’s easy to find
Customers can locate and reach their nearest AGnVET branch through a dedicated locator, built by the contractor I brought in for that piece while I led the redesign and the rest of the redevelopment.
